INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LITIGATION

The problem you may face

In a fast-moving world, you may find yourselves caught up in a dispute relating to trademarks and patents.

For more than 25 years, we have worked tirelessly to protect clients from allegations of trademark or patent infringement.

What we do

We routinely represent clients involved in disputes relating to:

  • Trademark and patent
  • The importation and distribution of branded and generic pharmaceutical products
  • The manufacture and distribution of branded apparel and footwear
  • Royalty payments and disputes relating to royalties
  • Judicial reviews of regulatory decisions of the government and of administrative bodies adversely affecting clients
  • The law relating to the movement of goods within the European Union

After Brexit, we will advise affected clients in relation to new trade arrangements which may affect their businesses and in relation to their new regulatory obligations.

Our history

Our history establishes us as one of the country’s leading defendants’ practices in the trade and movement of pharmaceutical products, and their regulation.

We have litigated a number of significant cases which have contributed to a better understanding of the case law of the European Court of Justice.

What started as disputes relating to trademarks or patents sometimes ended up involving a review by the courts of the regulator’s decision. Those battles therefore blurred the distinction between private law and public law.

We invite you to join us in an exploration of a range of issues thrown up in some of our most intensely battled cases. All involved international pharmaceutical manufacturers.
